About Us:
360 Strength and Performance is a high-performance training facility on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We specialize in strength and performance training for athletes and the wider community, fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes athletic growth, injury prevention, and lifelong movement skills.
About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for an energetic and committed Coaching and Community Manager to join the 360 Strength and Performance team.
This role is built for someone who loves people, thrives in a high-energy environment, and takes real pride in delivering results. You’ll bring a mix of passion, personality, and professionalism to everything you do — from the way you coach on the floor to how you connect with members and represent the 360 brand in the community.
Your week will combine hands-on coaching with focused project time across three key areas:
Programming & Coaching – Delivering high quality semi-private coaching sessions that align with 360’s proven training systems, while contributing to program design and supporting member progress.
Community Engagement (Growth) – Building relationships with local physios, sports clubs, and businesses, as well as driving awareness and leads through social media and local outreach.
Community Engagement (Retention) – Catching up with members, celebrating wins, following up on goals, and creating opportunities for our community to connect through events and shared experiences.
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic who brings energy to every session, knows how to balance fun with focus, and genuinely wants to be part of something bigger. You’ll work closely with the Director, who leads operations and team development, but this is your opportunity to take ownership of how our members experience 360 every day — treating the brand like it’s your own.
This is a full-time position, currently averaging 34.25 hours per week across a two-week cycle (32 hours one week, 36.5 hours the next). While slightly below standard full-time hours, it’s compensated at a full-time salary. Occasionally, extra hours may be required to support events or cover staff leave — these are included as part of the salaried role.
What You’ll Do:
As the Coaching & Community Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the 360 experience both on and off the gym floor. Your week will balance coaching with focused project time across three key areas:
1. Programming & Coaching
Deliver exceptional semi-private coaching sessions in line with 360’s programming system
Contribute to program development by sharing insights and ideas to enhance training outcomes
Ensure members receive a structured, enjoyable, and effective training experience every session
2. Community Engagement – Growth
Build strong connections with local physios, sports clubs, and businesses to increase awareness of 360
Contribute to marketing and social media initiatives that help attract new members
Proactively lock in movement assessments and follow up on new leads
3. Community Engagement – Retention
Connect regularly with members — check in on progress, celebrate wins, and help them stay motivated
Create opportunities for members to connect socially, such as events, challenges, and casual catch-ups
Support new members to integrate smoothly into the community
Other Responsibilities
Maintain gym presentation and professionalism — keeping the space tidy, organised, and safe
Handle basic admin tasks such as new member sign-ups, membership updates, and leave requests
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who’s more than just a coach — we want a teammate who’s genuinely excited to be part of the 360 family.
You’re the kind of person who:
Brings energy and positivity to every session, making the gym a place people love to be
Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in delivering results, both for members and the business
Loves conversation and connection, but knows how to balance fun with focus during sessions
Is naturally curious and proactive — you don’t wait to be told what to do; you look for ways to make things better
Treats the business like it’s your own — taking ownership, caring about the details, and helping the brand grow
Enjoys being part of a close-knit, high-performing team where everyone supports each other and celebrates success
Qualifications:
Cert III & IV in Fitness (required)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Minimum 2 years experience coaching with basic gym management skills preferred
Working with Children Check
Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science or Human Movement (preferred)
Australian residency or citizenship
